The parable in Mark 12:1-12 is a familiar one. Jesus tells a story about a man who builds a vineyard, and then leases it to unfaithful tenants. When the master sends his servants to collect some of the vineyard’s fruit, some are beaten by the tenants, and others are killed. The master sends his son, expecting a different response; yet, the tenants do not change their response, but instead, kill the son.
Pastor Holladay treats Mark 12:1-12 as a “lenticular” print—a print that changes its appearance when it is tilted. Six pictures in all are revealed, each one walking through the message of the gospel, step-by-step.
