David’s Son and Lord
https://thegfc.org/sermons/Mark%20Audio%20Sermons/1404Mark12.35-37.mp3 How many words, sentences, paragraphs, even pages would it take to describe yourself? This past Sunday at Grace Fellowship, we looked at Mark 12:35-37, where Jesus says a lot about Himself with just a single question and a brief quotation from the Old Testament. Listen to this week’s sermon to learn more about two declarations Jesus makes about Himself; two declarations we can’t afford to ignore!
Lessons on Love
https://thegfc.org/sermons/Mark%20Audio%20Sermons/1403Mark12.28-34.mp3 William Penn wrote, “Love is the hardest lesson in Christianity; but for that reason it should be our most care to learn it.” This past Sunday at Grace Fellowship Church, Pastor Holladay preached on Mark 12:28-34—the greatest commandment according to Jesus. This commandment is essentially love for God; a love that is singular, total, evident, and personal. Listen to this week’s message to learn more about the most important and foundational priority of our human existence!
Youth Group CANCELLED
Youth group for this Wednesday night has been cancelled. Please, see the note below from Tony Bowling: “Just a heads-up. I’m canceling Youth Group for this week. I have a blood clot in my lower leg that needs some attention. Everything is fine but I would appreciate your prayers for a quick recovery. Thank you very much. On a positive note; I know who won the Digital Scavenger hunt.”
Faulty Theology
https://thegfc.org/sermons/Mark%20Audio%20Sermons/1402Mark12.18-27.mp3 Grace Fellowship is preparing for a class on studying the Bible. Hopefully, all who attend will learn new tips and tricks to better interpret the Bible. This past Sunday, we learned from Pastor Holladay’s sermon on Mark 12:18-27 how ‘not’ to interpret the Bible! Yet, more importantly, we were also reminded that there is a life to come after this earthly existence; and what a life! Listen to this week’s message, as Pastor Holladay preaches on Jesus’ response to a…
Tactics to Trap Jesus | Mark 12:13-17
https://thegfc.org/…/Mark%20Audio%2…/1401Mark12.13-17.mp3 “…be wise as serpents and innocent as doves,” Jesus told his disciples in Matthew 10:16. Today, as Pastor Holladay preached on Mark 12:13-17, we observed as Jesus demonstrated this principle Himself. Listen to today’s message, and see how an attempt to trap Jesus in His own words only gave Him yet another opportunity to reveal His perfect wisdom, and through it all, teach a powerful truth about submission to human authority and surrender to God.

A Picture-Packed Parable
https://thegfc.org/sermons/Mark%20Audio%20Sermons/1400Mark12.01-12.mp3 The parable in Mark 12:1-12 is a familiar one. Jesus tells a story about a man who builds a vineyard, and then leases it to unfaithful tenants. When the master sends his servants to collect some of the vineyard’s fruit, some are beaten by the tenants, and others are killed. The master sends his son, expecting a different response; yet, the tenants do not change their response, but instead, kill the son. Pastor Holladay treats Mark 12:1-12 as a “lenticular”…

Figuring Out the Fig Tree (part 3) | Mark 11:12-14, & 20-25
https://thegfc.org/sermons/Mark%20Audio%20Sermons/1398Mark11.20-25.mp3 In Mark 11, Jesus makes some big claims regarding faith and prayer; claims such as, “Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.” Listen to today’s moving message by Pastor Holladay to discover more about this statement!
Figuring Out the Fig Tree (part 2) | Mark 11:12-21
https://thegfc.org/sermons/Mark%20Audio%20Sermons/1397Mark11.12-21.mp3 Yesterday, we continued our study on Mark 11:12-21, looking into how Jesus’ cursing of the fig tree and his cleansing of the temple pictured judgement, and how this served to project singleness of worship and preview the conclusion of symbolic worship. Figuring Out the Fig Tree
https://thegfc.org/sermons/Mark%20Audio%20Sermons/1396Mark11.12-21.mp3 This past Sunday at Grace Fellowship Church, Pastor Holladay preached a sobering message on how appearances can be deceiving. Someone may conform to Christian externals, but in reality, bear no fruit in their lives. Looking at Mark 11:12-21, we learn how a simple fig tree can teach us about our own lives. Click below to listen to a challenging message calling us to self-examination, and ending on an encouraging note with the reminder that only in Christ can…
