Yesterday morning, as our Supreme Court Justices made an important decision regarding what constitutes marriage, and consequently, how Americans will define and view marriage, Grace Fellowship Church gathered for prayer. We prayed for each of the Supreme Court Justices, for the protection of the institution of the family (one of God’s most marvelous gifts to mankind), for parents, grandparents, teachers and others who have influence on children, for children who are growing up in a culture with little moral anchor, that Christians would be strong in their marriages and thereby show the world God’s design for marriage, that religious liberty in this great Country will be protected and strengthened, for the protection of churches, businesses and individuals (some of whom are experiencing persecution because of their stand on marriage), and that churches would be strong in teaching the Word of God and that people would apply it in their lives.
Grace Fellowship Church believes strongly in God’s standard of marriage – “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh” (Genesis 2:24). Please, pray with us that our country will know and recognize God’s standard of marriage, and that churches will stay true to God’s Word.
